CRF450X
Don't let the CRF450R-style graphics trick you, the CRF450X is a whole other animal, crafted for the wilds of off-road racing. Sure, it borrows the Unicam® engine from the CRF-R lineup, but this beast packs a six-speed wide-ratio transmission and steering tuned for the trail. It’s kitted out with an 18-inch rear wheel, a sidestand, hand guards, tailored ECU settings, a beefier fuel tank, and a skid plate that keeps it the king of the dirt. This isn't just any dirt bike, it's a dirt-busting marvel.
Off-Road Ready
Designed for off-road riding, the 450X offers an 18-inch rear wheel for better off-road tyre choice, a standard side stand and hand guards, different ECU and fuel-injection settings, larger fuel tank, skid plate, headlight and more.
449cc Unicam® Engine
Honda’s Unicam® cylinder heads combine the best of single and double-overhead-cam designs. The configuration contributes to a compact engine that saves weight over a comparable dual-overhead-camshaft motor, and also permits a narrow included valve angle. This flattens the combustion chamber to facilitate ignition flame propagation, allowing a high compression ratio. Since less space is taken up in the cylinder head, the camshaft sits lower in the head for a more compact engine and a lower center of gravity.
Wide-Ratio Six-Speed Transmission
Having six speeds in the CRF450X’s transmission compared to an MX bike’s typical five gives you more choice, and makes this versatile bike even more versatile. You have a gear for everything from rock crawling to wide-open Baja blasts.
Off-Road Tyres
The CRF450X tyres, 80/100-21 at the front and 110/100-18 at the rear, are specifically designed for off-road use, so you can ride the way you want, where you want.
Large Fuel Tank
Large plastic 7.6L fuel tank, ideal for cross country rides, lets you keep riding for longer.
Lightweight Twin-Spar Aluminium Chassis
The CRF450X uses a twin-spar aluminium chassis that takes advantage of all the lessons learned on the MX track and from winning countless Bajas. The frame is both light and stiff, and provides the basis for the CRF450X’s excellent handling. The chassis is also wider than the standard MX frame to accommodate the six-speed transmission.
